The specific objectives of the project
Train, update, and retrain young and adult students to successfully tackle digital and sustainable transitions, strengthening CoVes;
Establish reference frameworks and curricula for AM (Advanced Manufacturing) skills; launch or review AM programs (including micro-credentials); create or build Learning Factories (special AM laboratories, jointly managed by VET and industry).
Launch a skills and jobs observatory for advanced manufacturing;
Accelerate cooperation ideas between industry, VET, and the region through an open innovation community and by providing advice to SMEs on integrating links between SMEs and VET;
Create a one-stop-shop portal for all our services; ensure a business case for the continuation of services to stakeholders in the long term, while improving participation.
The results
Overcoming challenges at European level in line with the Skills Agenda;
Build a structure that will continue to be relevant even after funding ends;
A diverse partnership between regional governments, education, businesses, European networks, and research;
Activities open to other institutions interested in participating or using specific aspects.
Creation of the first Advanced Manufacturing CoVEs focused on the student
A collaborative learning factory model for training students in the advanced manufacturing sector.
The role of MADE4.0
MADE – Industry 4.0 Competence Center as a Teaching Factory: an environment for students and research engineers where they can get hands-on experience with technologies to develop their skills and understand the methodologies that challenge everyday industrial practices, supporting the retraining of existing workers and the creation of new jobs.
