Context
The Manufacturing Innovation Alliance (M.I.A.) Lombardia is a consortium of 12 partners established to support manufacturing companies in digitalization, aligned with European and national industrial policies.
Recognized as an EDIH and awarded the “Seal of Excellence,” M.I.A. Lombardia serves as a key player for digital and sustainable transition in Lombardy, one of Europe’s most productive regions. This European recognition confirms the hub’s quality, allowing it to operate under the high standards of the EDIH network.
Supported by PNRR funding, M.I.A. Lombardia offers targeted assistance with differentiated incentives for companies of all sizes, promoting the adoption of innovative technologies in manufacturing.
Objectives
The goal of M.I.A. is to support digitalization and sustainability in the manufacturing sector, with a particular focus on SMEs. It provides a wide range of tailored services, including consultancy, training, and access to funding, aiming to facilitate the adoption of innovative technologies, improve competitiveness, and promote efficient sustainable transformation.
Specific Objectives:
- Support digital and sustainable transformation: M.I.A. Lombardia seeks to guide manufacturing companies through digitalization, promoting the adoption of advanced technologies to enhance efficiency and sustainability, including Industry 4.0 solutions and greener, more digital processes.
- Provide personalized services: The hub offers tailored services, such as technical consultancy, training, and audits, adapting to the specific needs of companies. This approach allows companies to address digitalization challenges with appropriate tools and scalable solutions suited to their level of digital maturity.
- Utilize PNRR funds and state incentives: Thanks to PNRR financing and differentiated incentives, M.I.A. Lombardia provides companies with financial resources to support the adoption of innovative technologies. Access to these funds is adapted to the size of the companies, with some incentives covering up to 100% of the costs for micro and small enterprises.
- Promote the spread of advanced technological skills: M.I.A. Lombardia organizes awareness-raising and training activities to help companies understand and implement new technologies. Through testing programs and prototype development, companies can explore the effectiveness of technological solutions before investing on a large scale, reducing risks and accelerating the digital transformation process.
