technologies
Since 1977, Tecnocarta has been operating in the paper industry, offering a wide variety of products and services for the food and non-food industry.
The problem
TECDIG360 aims for a holistic digital transformation of Tecnocarta, integrating the Lean approach with advanced technologies to optimize business processes and functions. This project not only focuses on digitizing production and maintenance processes through Tesar’s MES software, but also extends innovation to human resource management with the introduction of Lean HR.
Through a soft and digital skills assessment of all employees, the project will identify skill gaps and develop a tailored training plan to fill these gaps, improving the company’s adaptability and overall efficiency.
The solution
Technology:
- Digital Assessment: The first step of the project is to assess Tecnocarta’s starting point and create a 360-degree improvement roadmap.
- Lean HR: The project introduces a Lean approach to human resource management, aiming to improve organizational effectiveness and employee well-being.
- Change Management – Leadership: In line with its focus on people, Tecnocarta aims to achieve not only its Industry 4.0 goals but also the more ambitious Industry 5.0 objectives. A project phase dedicated to change management is introduced, using various situational exercises to assess the current leadership style of existing or future managers. They are provided with precise feedback, including a personalized report on their leadership gaps and recommendations on how to bridge them.
- Lean Logistics and Maintenance: The project also includes a Lean study focused on logistics and maintenance, the latter being especially preparatory for defining the requirements for the MES extension.
- MES (Manufacturing Execution System): The project involves updating Tesar’s MES software, an advanced management tool, specifically the maintenance module. This system aims to provide real-time monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance efficiency, such as response times, downtime, failure frequency, and maintenance costs.
Desired Impacts
- Operational Efficiency: significant improvement of internal processes, reducing the execution time to perform activities and optimizing the use of available resources.
- Market Response: the company will be able to respond more quickly and effectively to market dynamics, improving competitiveness and innovation capacity.
- Improved health and safety: The integration of new skills, especially in the digital sphere, will help improve occupational health and safety standards
Benefits for the company
- Optimize operations
- Digitize processes
- Enable resource capabilities on both technical issues and soft skills
- Enable a path of change management
