Lean production 4.0

Lean manufacturing is a scientific methodology in the approach to operations that allows for more efficient and flexible production systems. Companies that adopt a Lean methodology are companies driven by Just-in-Time logic, i.e., where production cycles are linear, rapid, and synchronized within the system, characterized by a drive for continuous improvement supported by quality models such as PDCA.

The Lean method enables the reconfiguration of production flows from a customer perspective, reducing response time and lowering production costs, while at the same time creating a safer and more participatory environment for its employees.

The Lean method is proven to be a significant success factor for the introduction of 4.0 technologies on the factory floor. Through reconfiguring work cycles and reorganizing flows, the lean method prevents the company from digitizing waste and allows it to pursue a successful digital transformation, avoiding unnecessary or even detrimental investments in its business.
