The successful candidate will join the Technical Department of MADE Competence Center Industria 4.0 and will contribute to the development, testing, and industrial deployment of innovative solutions in the fields of automation, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, industrial IT, and Cybersecurity. The candidate will be involved in the design and implementation of projects for manufacturing companies, the validation of innovative technologies within the Competence Center’s demonstration lines, and the execution of research and innovation projects funded at both national and European level. The role will involve collaboration with companies, universities, and technology partners, contributing to the integration of hardware and software systems, OT/IT infrastructures, data platforms, and advanced solutions for a digital, resilient, and secure factory.

- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines;
- Interest in innovative digital technologies applied to industry;
- Basic knowledge of programming languages and main software development tools;
- Basic familiarity with databases, communication systems, and data management;
- Interest in topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Industrial IoT, software integration, industrial data analytics, MES/ERP systems, and process digitalization;
- Strong learning ability, problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively in a team;
- Good command of technical English.
Work location: Milan
Direct employment with the client company is offered.

Are you passionate about technological innovation and want to lead collaborative research and development projects at European and national level? We are looking for a dynamic and motivated R&D Project Manager to join our team at the MADE Competence Center Industry 4.0.
Responsabilities:
- Coordinating research and innovation activities with national and international partners in European, national, and regional projects;
- Contributing to the preparation of new project proposals and the creation of partnerships at EU level for the development of projects to be submitted in calls for proposals;
- Involving research centers, universities, and industries operating in various disciplinary fields;
- Support R&I activities with national and international partners (feasibility analysis, planning, progress management);
- Collaborate with technical managers to plan and manage activities at the center;
- Develop innovative technical content to achieve project objectives
- Prepare and contribute to the drafting of technical project reports.
Requirements and more details:
- Experience in managing funded research projects (e.g., Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, EIT, etc.);
- Knowledge of industrial technologies and processes in the field of Industry 4.0;
- Proactivity, responsibility, excellent analytical and teamwork skills;
- Excellent planning and uncertainty management skills;
- Fluent knowledge of English, both written and spoken;
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally for short periods;
- Degree in engineering, science, or technical disciplines;
- 2-5 years of experience in the role.

MADE4.0 is looking for a professional with adequate skills and experience in setting up and managing projects in the field of digitization of manufacturing processes, with particular reference to the activities listed below, also aimed at entering into new contracts.
“Test before invest” industrial projects, comprising the following three categories:
- INNOVATION PROJECTS: Industrial research, experimental development, and innovation projects (product, process, or organizational models) necessary to support the translation of innovative ideas into demonstrable concepts.
- DEMO AND TESTING: Development of demos, prototypes, Proof of Concept (PoC) and Test-Beds in the Industry 4.0 field, using available technical, technological and methodological environments and tools and know-how.
- ACCESS TO MADE AND PARTNER INFRASTRUCTURES AND TECHNOLOGIES: Provision of a wide range of services such as equipment rental, provision of technological infrastructure for platforms, laboratory facilities and production support for testing and prototyping.
Industrial projects “Consultancy”, comprising the following 4 categories:
- INDUSTRY 4.0 STRATEGY: Implementation of a plan for the adoption of digital technologies and strategic skills to ensure a company’s evolution towards Industry 4.0 in terms of process efficiency and effectiveness, in line with corporate objectives
- TECHNOLOGY SCOUTING: Identification of the most suitable technologies and technology partners to develop product and process innovation, defining a corporate technology strategy consistent with the trends characterizing the sector.
- TECHNOLOGY CONSULTING: Consulting and feasibility studies aimed at implementing technological, organizational, and management solutions to improve business processes with a view to Industry 4.0.
- VALIDATION OF i4.0 PROJECTS: Assessment of the adequacy of technologies, methodologies, and execution of innovation projects with respect to the objectives set and the state of the art.
