Overwiev of the project
The MUSAE project aims to systematically integrate artistic collaboration within European Digital Innovation Hubs through the development of a new innovation model called the “MUSAE Factory Model,” based on the Design Futures Art-driven (DFA) method. The thematic focus is on the domain of “Food as Medicine,” combining art, technology, and research to imagine and develop future solutions oriented toward the well-being of people and the planet.
The specific objectives of the project
Develop and validate a new method of transdisciplinary innovation that combines Design Futures and Art Thinking to anticipate future scenarios (5-10 years).
Build and test the MUSAE Factory Model within the Digital Innovation Hubs (DIH), with the aim of extending its adoption to other European hubs.
Promote the adoption of digital technologies (AI, wearables, robotics, human-machine interaction) to address future challenges in the food sector.
Create new products and services in the “Food as Medicine” sector that combine health, sustainability, and technological innovation.
Desired impacts
Strengthening the innovation capacity of European Digital Innovation Hubs through the integration of the artistic dimension.
Increased awareness and use of digital technologies for social and environmental objectives, in line with the European SDGs.
Development of a replicable model that can be transferred and implemented in other local and European contexts.
Promotion of new markets and entrepreneurial activities in the field of food as medicine, with a human-centered approach.
The role of MADE4.0
MADE Digital Innovation Hub is responsible for implementing and validating the first prototype of the MUSAE Factory Model, hosting the first “artistic innovation factory.” MADE also guides the definition of the replicable model package (Factory Model Pack), promoting its dissemination in other European hubs.
