TDK FOIL is a leading manufacturer of advanced materials for the electronics and manufacturing industries, with a strong focus on innovation and the digitalisation of production processes.
To sustain competitiveness and growth, TDK FOIL needs to understand its level of digital maturity, identify methodologies and technologies to implement, and define priority projects to initiate an effective digital transformation consistent with its business objectives.
Using MADE’s ‘Industry 4.0 Strategy’ methodology, a customised plan was developed to assess the digital maturity level of business processes, identify strengths and weaknesses, and plan targeted innovation projects. Pilot projects on maintenance 4.0, Big Data Analytics and Digital Twin were launched to guide the company towards an integrated 4.0 paradigm.

The project made it possible to assess in detail the digital level of each business function, facilitating the identification of opportunities for improvement and the definition of a shared tactical-operational plan, promoting cross-functional collaboration to address the challenges of digitalisation.
TDK FOIL has gained greater internal awareness and a clear strategy for adopting digital technologies, optimising time, resources and skills for the implementation of innovation projects, improving efficiency and competitiveness in the global market.
