FARO, a Lombardy-based company specializing in dental lighting, wanted to free its Research and Development team from repetitive requests from the sales and after-sales departments, creating the conditions for continuous innovation.
Objective: to develop an intelligent system for quickly managing and consulting complex business documents and improving employee operational efficiency, reducing response times from 24-48 hours to a few seconds.
The project involved the creation of a document repository that can be queried using natural language, based on Microsoft Azure and advanced technologies such as Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and GPT models.
The system allows to:
Centralize 18,000 technical documents and emails containing relevant information.
Respond accurately and quickly to internal requests via a conversational interface.
Ensure security and access control through Microsoft Entra ID.
Provide automated responses with the cited document source to ensure reliability.
The introduction of the document management system has had a significant impact on:

Scalability: the system, currently internal, will be extended to global retailers for autonomous and immediate after-sales support.
