Nuova Castelvini is a company with a strong commitment to energy efficiency but does not have an energy monitoring system. This lack is a problem from an economic and management point of view, as there is no reference point for continuously monitoring the specific energy consumption of each machine, even in the context of predictive maintenance in the event of abnormal values and energy efficiency.
The project involves analysing company data and the technologies currently in use within the company. The machinery currently in use and its consumption will be analysed, and various energy monitoring models suitable for the company context will be developed, from which the company can choose.

The following impacts are expected:
Competitiveness: Thanks to the project, an increase in competitiveness and consequent growth of the company is expected. Energy monitoring will make it possible to reduce inefficiencies, waste and costs, improving the quality of processes. This will be reflected in the final price of the product, which will be more competitive than that of competing companies, allowing for greater manoeuvrability on the market.
Health and Safety: As part of the activities planned for the project, Nuova Castelvini Soc. Coop. S.P.A. is strongly committed to the health and safety of its workers. Monitoring the machinery will enable the operating status of each machine to be diagnosed promptly (current leakage, high voltages, etc.), avoiding risks for workers who work in close contact with them.
Sustainability: Improved energy efficiency resulting from the implementation of this project will make Nuova Castelvini Soc. Coop. S.P.A. more sustainable. This will translate into greater social commitment and an improved corporate image among stakeholders.
Improved energy efficiency: measured by the percentage reduction in overall energy consumption. The selection of low-energy machinery and optimised management of energy resources will contribute to a significant reduction in operating costs and align the company with sustainable objectives.
Reduction in machine downtime due to breakdowns: prompt diagnosis of machine status reduces intervention times and anticipates any anomalies, with a positive impact on machine downtime due to breakdowns.
Increase in Overall Equipment Efficiency: the real efficiency of the machinery will be increased, as it will be possible to act on any critical points in the production process.
