Introduction

F.lli Mauri SpA, established in 1953, is an international manufacturer of high-quality fastening solutions, with a wide range of products for the woodworking, automotive and general industrial sectors.

The problem

In a market context characterised by highly complex supply chains, short product life cycles and increasing customisation, F.lli Mauri faced difficulties in efficiently managing material planning. It was necessary to adopt a model that would respond effectively to uncertainty and variability in demand, improving planning and responsiveness to customers.

The solution

The project involved defining a macro-operational model for managing Material Requirements Planning, with a particular focus on adopting the Demand Driven MRP (DDMRP) methodology. This methodology allows production to be synchronised with actual demand, improving stock management and resource planning.
