Introduction

Sicad S.p.A. operates in the industrial sector, offering advanced solutions for automation and production process management. The company is a leader in the domestic market and stands out for its adoption of innovative technologies aimed at improving the efficiency and competitiveness of its customers.

The problem

Sicad identified the need to accelerate its digital transformation through the adoption of the Internet of Things (IoT) in order to overcome existing technological limitations and fully exploit the potential of its production assets. The main challenge was to support the new Industrial Digital Innovation Manager in his role as leader of this innovation, providing him with specific skills to integrate effective and strategic IoT solutions.

The solution

MADE4.0 developed a customised training programme for Sicad’s Industrial Digital Innovation Manager, starting with an assessment aimed at identifying specific needs. The project included in-depth theoretical lessons on IoT technologies, practical exercises with devices such as Raspberry Pi, and the integration of cloud platforms for data management. This approach facilitated the adoption and development of IoT solutions applied to company assets, improving the collection and processing of industrial data.
