The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), as part of its efforts to achieve the goals of the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy, organized the second seminar on the “Smart Manufacturing Incentive Program (SMIP)” in which MADE Competence Center took part. Eng. Arafat Al Yafei, Executive Director, explained the SMIP program and its role in the transformation path to Industry 4.0 in Abu Dhabi, which aims to promote digital maturity through smart technologies combined with a sustainable approach to manufacturing.
Abu Dhabi will invest AED 10 billion (about €2.5 billion) in these programs to more than double the size of the manufacturing sector to AED 172 billion, create 13,600 skilled jobs, and increase the emirate’s non-oil exports to AED 180 billion by 2031.
MADE4.0 bore witness to its concrete commitment to supporting businesses on the path of digital and sustainable transition, presenting the results it has achieved in recent years through its specialized consulting and innovative solutions dedicated to businesses, demonstrating the tangible value it can bring even in the context of the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy goals.
Much interest was aroused by the effective operating model of MADE 4.0, which currently has the participation of 47 partners including 4 universities 1 public body and 42 private companies.
MADE4.0 together with Gellify, which has a presence in the UAE, presented its consultative approach to defining a digital transformation roadmap, “Strategy 4.0.”
