Introduction

Sacco System is an international biotech group that provides solutions for the food, nutraceutical and pharmaceutical industries. The company develops healthy and functional products, such as lactic ferments, probiotics and enzymes, supporting food culture and well-being with a strong focus on research and innovation.

The problem

As part of its strategic business transformation plan, Sacco places considerable importance on the use of digital technology as a lever for achieving its business objectives. In particular, the creation of a digital strategy and related digital backbone, through the identification of a macro work plan and associated priorities, constraints and value components of each project action, will enable the mapping of the company’s current situation in terms of digital use in terms of systems, governance and organisation, enable the adoption of digital tools, consolidate the value and culture of data within the company, and enhance the company’s competitiveness in terms of services and sustainability.

The solution

The collaboration project with MADE will support Sacco System in the following macro-activities:

Define the motivations and objectives of your data culture growth path.

Objectively assess the state of your information assets and the systems used to collect, store and leverage them.

Gather the necessary elements to formulate a development plan for your data assets and data culture that is tailored to future needs, feasible and capable of delivering value.

The activities involved in digital strategic analysis are described below:

Analysis of the reasons for change.

Analysis of the current situation.

Formulation of the action plan.

Impacts

By adopting the recommendations provided by MADE consultants, benefits are expected in terms of market competitiveness through operational efficiency achieved by automating and optimising processes using digital technologies, thereby reducing operating costs and improving production efficiency. In addition, the ability to implement digital technologies for real-time data collection and analysis will enable rapid adaptation of production to market requirements.

Benefits for the company

In terms of economic benefits, Sacco expects that the opportunities highlighted by the digital roadmap identified by MADE, once implemented, could potentially lead to cost reductions, increased productivity, reduced product time to market and greater customer satisfaction.

In line with the above, i.e. with a view to the next implementation phase, the following KPIs can be cited to measure the expected results:

Operational efficiency in terms of OEE

Reduction of waste in terms of waste-to-output ratio Labour productivity

Customer satisfaction with Net Promoter Score.
